How to Strengthen Bones (Dietarily): Deposit Greens Into The Bank

So basically, the understanding I have is that to strengthen bones give yourself the nutrients that you need, and don’t put in excesses of things that result in weakening.

Excess acidity causes mineral depletion in order for the body to maintain balance. Meat, dairy, eggs, beans, and grains all tend to be very acidic. Fruits and vegetables tend to be alkaline.

So eat a bunch of greens. They are delicious. Add a bit of avocado and you’re good to go.┬áSome inexpensive ways to get them?

  • Frozen spinach
  • Greens that come with other stuff (beet greens, cauliflower greens, etc…)
  • Celery
  • Kale
  • Collard Greens
  • Bok Choy (Pak Choi)
  • Chard (great source of vitamin E and sodium)
